More details have come out about the new album from Tenacious D, Rize of the Fenix, which is due on May 15. For the new work, the duo of Jack Black and Kyle Gass re-teamed with longtime collaborator/drummer Dave Grohl, who also performed on both of the duo's previous LPs. Under the Radar reports that the band reconvened at producer John Kimbrough's home, where they recorded the album in his garage. The D will play a number of festivals this summer, including Sasquatch!, Download, and Rock am Ring & Rock Im Park.
