  • Rolling Stones 50th Anniversary photo book is for sale

The Rolling Stones will issue a 50th anniversary photo book, aptly titled The Rolling Stones: 50, on July 12. July 12 is significant because it's the exact the date in 1962 when the band debuted at the Marquee Club in London's Oxford Street. The new book will feature 700 illustrations, 300 of them in color and many taken from the archive of the U.K.'s Daily Mirror, which contains the largest newspaper collection of Rolling Stones photography. The band said in a statement: "This is our story of 50 fantastic years. We started out as a blues band playing the clubs and more recently we've filled the largest stadiums in the world with the kind of show that none of us could have imagined all those years ago. Curated by us, it features the very best photographs and ephemera from and beyond our archives."

  • The story of Stairway to Heaven ...

The lyrics came to Robert Plant in a flash of inspiration when he and Jimmy Page were sitting by the fireplace at Headley Grange with Page strumming the intro chords. Said Plant: "I was holding a pencil and paper, and for some reason I was in a very bad mood. Then all of a sudden my hand was writing out the words, 'There's a lady who's sure all that glitters is gold/And she's buying a stairway to heaven.' I just sat there and looked at the words and then I almost leapt out of my seat."

  • Do Tattoos Make a Person Look Sexy? ? Here is the latest Poll!

Thirty percent of people with a tattoo say the ink makes them feel sexier, but 45 percent of those without the permanent body art disagree, saying it makes those individuals less attractive. The findings come from a new Harris Poll that shows one in five U.S. adults have at least one tattoo.

  • The Classic Rockers are still a rocking!! Here is what they are up too!

It looks like the planned Buffalo Springfield reunion tour is not happening this year after all, according to guitarist/vocalist Richie Furay. In a recent radio interview on WBAI/New York, Furay said that "I was actually told, 'We’re doing this 30-day tour.' And Neil [Young] is just fickle, and even though it boils down to all three of us making a decision... without the three of us, really there can't be anything that would even resemble a Buffalo Springfield. I gotta say that we probably lost a little bit of our momentum. That isn't to say it couldn’t be picked up again, but I certainly don't see anything happening this year." Buffalo Springfield played their first reunion show at Young's Bridge School Benefit concert in the fall of 2010. The next summer they played a six-date theater tour in California before performing at the Bonnaroo festival in 2011.

Ringo Starr (drummer with The Beatles) has a very large Panda which was given to him in 1976 by Keith Moon (the famous drummer with The Who). It was obviously love at first sight, as the two became almost inseparable. Ringo called his Panda 'Chairman of the Board', as he now resides over all of Ringo's business meetings. The Chairman of the Board was given a pair of white gloves which once belonged to Marc Bolan (of T-Rex fame).

The Project will be a permanent tribute to Cash's early life and that of his family's, as well as reflect a historical slice of American life during the Great Depression. Also set for the year-long birthday celebration is the opening of the new Johnny Cash Museum in downtown Nashville, and Columbia/Legacy will release a series of archive titles beginning with Bootleg IV: The Soul of Truth slated for April 3.
