The year was 1986. .38 Special was in Wichita on their "Strength In Numbers" tour. Backstage at The Kansas Coliseum a young Phil Thompson (that's me) posed for a picture with lead singer Don Barnes. Flash forward 21 years. It's 2007. .38 Special returns to Wichita. Backstage at The Cotillion Ballroom a not quite as young Phil Thompson (me again) re-creates the exact pose from the original pic. Again flash forward 3 more years, it's 2010 and .38 Special is in Wichita again. Backstage at Hartman Arena a slightly older Phil Thompson (...me) manages to talk Don Barnes in to re-creating the original pose again!!!! And now I present to you:
