A couple of things going on that are pulling my emotions this week.
First, they announced the inductees of this years Baseball Hall of Fame. No one! No one was selected to be inducted into the HOF this year. The first time since the late 90's that no one was selected. The top vote getter was former Houston Astro, Craig Biggio. He got 68% of the vote on his first year of eligibility, but you need 75% of the vote to be inducted. Former Astro, Jeff Bagwell was also on the ballot list, however he only recieved 59% of the vote.
Secondly, toying with my emotions this week is the NFL playoffs. The Houston Texans play the New England Patriots tomorrow in Foxborough. It's a rematch from a game earlier in the season where the Patriots handily beat Houston by 20 points. So I am a litte nervous going into tomorrow's game. I hope the Texans have a good game plan and can execute this weekend to have a much better outcome and move onto the divisional final.
Proud to be a Texan, and from Houston.
