Yesterday marked the anniversary...I can't believe its been 26 years since this national tragedy.
THIS EVENT hit home for me big time.. I am from Clear Lake, TX. The Johnson Space Center - NASA was practically in my back yard. For the first 5+ years, we knew most of everyone that were a part of the space shuttle program. I grew up and went to school with Mike Smith's and Ellison Onizuka's kids. I have many friends that work for NASA today and with the shuttle program being retired, its hit home even more.. I saw the shuttle fly over all the time in Houston and even was lucky enough to go inside the 747 with the Shuttle on its back...
