Sedgwick County health officials have reported a new cluster of COVID-19 cases at an adult care facility.
The Wichita Center has reported 12 cases, involving nine residents and three staff members, and one resident has died.
In a press release, Wichita Center spokesman Jeff Jacomowitz said the facility has been fully equipped with personal protective equipment since March, and testing continues at the facility. He said staff members are screened at the front door and they are sent home if there are indications of a fever.
The Wichita Center is continuing to work with county and state health officials to contain any further spread of the virus.
