Teens arrested after Wichita car burglaries

Police have two teenage boys in custody after two reports of car burglaries in north Wichita late Monday night.

Officer Charley Davidson said a woman was threatened with a gun when she confronted two boys going through her car in the 4500 block of East 25th Street North.   A couple confronted the two boys later in the 2700 block of North Green, and one of the boys fired a shot into the air while running away.   No one was hurt in the two incidents.

Officers spotted the suspects a short time later and caught them after a foot chase.  The boys, ages 16 and 17, are facing charges for aggravated assault and burglary.
