A shooting in west Wichita is believed to have stemmed from road rage.
Police were called to Central and Ridge, around 5:30 p.m. Monday, and found a man who had been shot. This 35-year-old was taken to a hospital and is expected to recover.
Officials report the 35-year-old was headed west on Central when he got into an argument with another driver, also going west. Both driver stopped, and police say the 35-year-old got out of his car and approached the other driver. There was some kind of fight and the 35-year-0ld was shot. Both men pulled into a nearby parking lot and waited to speak with officers.
The second driver is described as a 39-year-old uniformed security officer. It does appear that this man was arrested.
An investigation is ongoing.
